Terms and Conditions
Aqua Contracting Company is an owner run aquatic contractor based in Highland, Michigan. We cut and haul weeds, pull roots, and clear muck out of lakes across Oakland County. This page lays out the terms for using our website, aquacontractingcompany.com, and for reaching out to work with us. We wrote it in plain English so you know where you stand.
These terms are here for transparency and are not legal advice. Last updated July 10, 2026.
Using this site means you accept these terms
When you use this website, you agree to these terms. If any of it does not sit right with you, that is fine, just do not use the site. We may bring on new tools or change how the site works over time, and continuing to use it means you are good with the terms as they stand.
The site and any estimate are just information
Everything on this site is here to inform you, not to lock either of us into anything. Service descriptions and any ballpark number you see or that we send you are estimates. An estimate is not a binding contract and it is not a guaranteed final price.
Water conditions, how thick the weeds are, how deep the muck runs, how we get to the shoreline, and what the job actually turns into once we are out there can all move the number. Nothing becomes a deal until we both agree to it in writing, usually through a signed quote or work order.
Permits and Michigan rules come first
Aquatic work in Michigan is regulated. Cutting weeds, harvesting, pulling roots, and removing muck or dredging all fall under the rules the State of Michigan and EGLE (the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy) set for aquatic vegetation and inland lakes. Some of this work needs a permit before anyone touches the water.
We work within those rules and we help figure out what a job needs, but we do not promise that your project is exempt from a permit, and we do not promise a permit will be approved. If the state says a permit is required, the job waits until it is in hand.
We cannot promise a specific result
A lake is a living system. Weeds grow back, muck settles, and every season runs a little different. We bring the right equipment and real experience doing this work, and we stand behind what we do, but we cannot guarantee a specific outcome, like a lake staying clear for a set number of weeks or a certain amount of weed pulled. What we promise is honest labor and straight talk about what to expect.
The request form and client login run on Jobber
The form you use to request an estimate or ask for work, and the client login where you can see your quotes, appointments, and invoices, run on Jobber, a third party software service we use to run the business. When you fill out that form or log into the client hub, Jobber hosts and processes what you enter.
That means Jobber's own terms of service and privacy practices apply to those parts of your experience, on top of ours. We picked Jobber because it keeps things organized, but we do not control how their platform works and we are not responsible for it.
Text and email consent, and how to opt out
If you give us your phone number or email, you may agree to get texts or emails from us about your job, your schedule, and now and then an offer or an update. You stay in control of that.
For texts, reply STOP at any time and we will stop texting you. For email, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message. We handle text and email consent in line with the TCPA and the CAN-SPAM Act. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Opting out of marketing will not shut off the basic messages we need to send to actually do your job, like confirming an appointment.

We may update these terms
As the business grows and the tools we use change, we may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version right here with a fresh date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, you are agreeing to the updated terms.
