Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Aqua Contracting Company runs out of Highland, Michigan, and we clear weeds and muck out of lakes across Oakland County. This page lays out what we do with the information you hand us when you ask for an estimate or hire us for the work. We wrote it in plain English so you do not need a lawyer to read it. If something here is not clear, call us at (248) 309-0662 and we will walk you through it.

What information we collect

When you fill out our estimate or work request form, or when you call us, you give us a few basic things so we can quote the job and get out to your water. That usually includes:

Your name.

Your contact info, like phone number and email.

The address or the lake where the work happens.

Details about the job, like the kind of weeds, how much muck, the size of the area, and what you are trying to get done.

Any photos you send us of your shoreline, your dock, or the water.

We only ask for what we need to price the work and do it right. If you leave something off the form, that is fine, it just may take a phone call to fill in the gaps.

Our forms and client login run on Jobber

Our estimate form and the client login on our site run on Jobber. Jobber is the software we use to manage estimates, scheduling, and invoices. When you submit the form or log in, that information goes into Jobber, which stores and processes it for us. In plain terms, Jobber is our service provider. They hold the data on our behalf so we can run the job, and they do not get to use your information for their own purposes. Jobber keeps their own privacy practices, and you can read how they handle data in Jobber's privacy policy on their website at getjobber.com.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

Put together an honest estimate for the work.

Schedule the job and get the crew out to the right spot.

Actually do the work, whether that is weed cutting and harvesting, weed root removal, or muck removal and dredging.

Follow up with you afterward to make sure the water looks the way you wanted and to sort out any billing.

That is the whole list. We do not use your information to run some big marketing machine.

Text messages

Our form asks whether you are okay with us texting you. If you check that box, you are giving us consent to send you texts about scheduling and reminders, like confirming when the crew is coming out. We are not going to blast you with sales texts.

You can stop the texts any time. Just reply STOP and we will take you off the list. Reply HELP if you need a hand or want our contact info. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan. Texting is your choice, and saying no to texts does not change whether we will do your job.

Email

If you opt in, we may send you the occasional email, like a quote, a receipt, or a heads up about your service. We keep it light and we do not sell your address to anyone. Every email we send gives you a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out any time by clicking that link or just telling us to take you off the list.

Cookies and basic analytics

Our website uses cookies and basic analytics, the same as most sites do. These are small files and tools that tell us simple things, like how many folks visited a page or which pages people look at. We use that to keep the site working and to see what is useful. We are not tracking you around the internet. If you would rather block cookies, your web browser has settings that let you do that.

We do not sell or rent your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it off to some list broker. The information you give us is for doing your job, not for making a buck on the side.

Who we share it with

The only outfits that touch your information are the service providers who help us run the business, like Jobber for estimates and scheduling. They only get what they need to do their part, and they are bound to handle it for us and not go off and use it on their own. We may also share information if the law requires it, like a court order, but that is the rare exception, not how we operate.

How long we keep it

We hang on to your information for as long as we need it to do your job, handle billing and warranties, and keep our own records straight, plus whatever the law says we have to keep. After that, we get rid of what we no longer need. If you want your information taken out of our records, call or email us and we will take care of it, as long as we are not required to keep it.

How we keep it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and the tools we use, like Jobber, keep their own security in place. That said, nobody can promise a system is bulletproof. No method of sending or storing data online is one hundred percent safe, so we do our part and we are straight with you about that.

Children

Our work and our website are meant for adults, mainly lakefront property owners and lake associations. We are not aimed at kids, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child sent us something, let us know and we will delete it.

Your choices and how to reach us

You are in the driver's seat with your information. You can:

Ask us what we have on file.

Ask us to fix or update it.

Ask us to delete it, unless we are required to keep it.

Opt out of texts by replying STOP, or out of emails by unsubscribing.

To do any of that, or if you just have a question about this policy, reach us here:

Changes to this policy

If we change how we do things, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If it is a big change, we will do our best to give you a heads up. Checking back here now and then is the best way to stay current.

We put this policy together to be straight with you about how we handle your information. It is here for transparency and to be helpful, and it is not legal advice.
